ShadowImage - The MU# of the volume to be operated is not appropriate
Submitted by hitachick on Fri, 09/17/2010 - 11:47
New ShadowImage implementation...I've never worked with it before.
I had, at one time, the pairsplit command working just fine. Then I moved the function of the target (shadow) to another server. The pairdisplay and pairvolchk commands seem to work ok.
But when I try to issue a pairsplit command, I get the messages:
The MU# of the volume to be operated is not appropriate
Please confirm the mu# (MU#1/2/3 cannot be used for HORC, and MU#1/2 must be P-Vol for HORCMF, MU#1/2/3 must be P-VOL for UR) for the specified group using pairdisplay command.
Now, things worked for the first Shadow. This is the "second" shadow for which I have MU#1 set in the horcm files. The P-Vols were paired to S-0 and then they were split. Then the P-Vols were paired to the S-1 shadow.
This is frustrating. I will probably use the CLI or GUI (rather than the CCI) to issue commands. But that is not what I wanted....
Any clues? Thanks
